Doctoral Dissertation:
3D Technologies as a Support for Industrial Design Museum Exhibition
The thesis (practical part) deals with the 3D technologies based interpretation of Slovenian modernist design/architecture icon K67 kiosk designed by Saša J. Machtig in 1966. The object is a part of MoMA's 20th century design collection.
During the research following proposals for the interpretation of the K67 kiosk were prepared: An interactive 3D computer model, a physical 3D printed model, a serious game »3D puzzle«, an augmented reality mobile application and the idea of the 3D digitisation of existing K67 units in collaboration with the public were created.
3D printed scaled model of the kiosk has been presented at the Silent Revolutions: Contemporary Design in Slovenia traveling exhibition. The model has been exhibited in London, Eindhoven, Ljubljana, Milan, Belgrade, Maribor, Helsinki, Vienna and Moscow.
